This is a comprehensive visit scheduled periodically based on guidelines issued by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The visit takes 45–60 minutes (or more) depending on the age and health history of the child. It usually includes completion of questionnaires, a detailed interview covering interim history, nutrition, development, school and family issues, review of safety and accident prevention, anticipatory guidance, discussion on recommended vaccines, a physical examination, and vaccine administration.

Sick Visits

Children are seen by appointment only. Our policy is to see anyone requesting an appointment for a sick child on the same day if at all possible.

We are a medical home for children 0-18 years and provide medical care for a wide range of childhood illnesses and problems (please call or email us if you have specific questions). In the event, a child needs a referral to a subspecialist (e.g. a cardiologist or gastroenterologist) or an allied health professional (e.g physical therapist or speech therapist) our office assists in the referral process to ensure seamless continuity and medical coordination of care.

Travel Consults

This visit includes an interview, education, and literature regarding the health risks of travel for children to the destination, preventive measures to avoid illness and injury, prophylactic medications, and vaccines for travel if indicated. Parents are advised to obtain a travel consult 4-6 weeks prior to international travel. Please check with your insurance if this is a covered benefit.
